Calibration services for meteorological measuring instruments:Precision and reliability

Thies CLIMA offers comprehensive calibration services for measuring instruments.

Our calibrations are relevant both during initial installation and after specific intervals (typically every two years) or after the dismantling and renewal of site assessment masts

1) Works test certificate:

This calibration is based on internal Thies CLIMA test standards. We have various specialised test environments and measuring ranges available for this purpose:

Wind speed 0.5 ... 40 m/s (wind tunnel)
Wind direction 0 ... 360° (wind tunnel)
Temperature: -50 ... 80°C (climate chamber)
Rel. humidity: 10 ... 90%r.H. (climate chamber)
Air pressure: 600 ... 1100 hPa (pressurised chamber)
Precipitation: e.g. for a tipping bucket - 1.0; 3.0; 5.0 and 7.0 mm precipitation/min (automatic dosing device, volume calibration)

2) Calibration by Deutsche WindGuard: Calibration certificate according to certification:

In cooperation with Deutsche WindGuard , an accredited measurement institute that performs calibrations in accordance with the MEASNET and JECRE standards and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.

The calibration processes are designed to ensure maximum precision and reliability. We work according to the following international standards:

MEASNET standard : An internationally recognised standard for the calibration of measuring instruments in the wind energy industry.

JECRE standard: An additional standard that sets specific requirements for the calibration and testing of measuring instruments.

DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 : This standard specifies general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. Compliance with this standard ensures that our calibrations meet the highest quality standards.
